OA Dr. Maic Deckstein

Maic Deckstein did his specialist training at the Medical University of Vienna.

He is an expert in general surgery with a special focus on endoscopy and minimally invasive (laparoscopic) visceral and tumor surgery as well as endocrine surgery.

Univ. Prof. Dr. Raimund Jakesz

Raimund Jakesz did his specialist training at the Medical University of Vienna well as at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, USA.

He is a renowned expert in the surgical treatment of female cancers, with a special focus on breast cancer. Organ-preserving surgical therapy is one main concern. He has published several books and more than 300 scientific papers in peer review journals, whereby his research activities related almost exclusively to the field of breast cancer.

In 2021 he Lifetime Achievement Award.was awarded to him by the Austrian Breast & Colorectal Cancer Study Group.

OA Dr. Philipp Beckerhinn

Philipp Beckerhinn received his medical training in Vienna. He specializes in the surgical treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid gland as well as laparoscopic surgery, with a focus on metabolic (obesity) surgery. In the treatment of thyroid diseases, he has been cooperating with the experienced internist OÄ Dr. Gudrun Sadik for many years in order to find a suitable solution for every patient.

He passes on his knowledge and experience to colleagues in lectures at national and international congresses as well as in laparoscopic surgery trainings. He is currently the President of the Austrian society for the surgery of obesity- and metabolic surgery.
